God...I've become Shou's defense attorney on yet another website, apparently! It's like I can't find another fan anywhere, and I have to convert you people to see the truth; he's actually a rather respectable character! He didn't kill his daughter, nor did he ever see that coming while he was doing his work.

The reason his head is upside down in the later episodes is because he accidentally transmuted himself into a chimera during his stay in Laboratory Five. He didn't entirely transmute, and therefore kept some human qualities in his other form. I argued in an AP English paper where I compared Full Metal Alchemist to the Divine Comedy, written by Dante Alighieri, in one paragraph that Shou's form echoed that of Minos, the half-beast man who judged which part of Hell a soul fell into for judgment in the first part, also known as the Inferno. The similarities between the two are freakishly uncanny, even if their personal histories vary. While some could say it was a mere mistake, the form Shou takes later on has some allegories behind it that only literature nerds like yours truly would be able to detect.

I'd have to say that I'm tied when it comes to my favourite chimera in FMA..

I find the Nina/Alexander chimera adorable,  I adore Shou Tucker ( as a human and chimera) a lot, as well as Martel/Marta, Dorchet/ Dorochet and Loa/Law.

So all five of them are my favourite chimera's ^_^
