If you've got a question here that goes a bit deeper than most, feel free to ask it here. I, or one of the other members who takes this sort of thing seriously, will get right back at you as soon as we can with an answer. If it's asking something stupid like what color Zolfe Kimbley's eyes are, I'm going to ignore it...but if you're truly asking someting worthwhile here (like what Shou Tucker meant by a "Nina more perfect than the one that inspired her")...let's see what I can do for you.

yes,i agree with maes.the baby of rose was merely used as a link or a medium by Dante to open the gate and no harm was done to the baby.

Indeed, but we also have a few glimpses of seeing Rose and her baby in Risembool with the Rockbells and Mason at the end of the television series. We can infer the child is perfectly fine, but as for his whereabouts...he's with his mother, wherever she is. Perhaps he was the child with the spoon in the movie.

As far as I know, the last we see of the Elrics is at the end of the movie. We know that Alphonse Heidrich had a funeral (Shou's parallel was at it; if you look closely, you'll see him between a blonde woman and a kid who looks a LOT like Nina...you'll also see him in almost all of the beer hall scenes, usually reading a newspaper), and both brothers were there. Alphonse Elric also cut his ponytail around the end as he, Edward, and Noa made their way to the gypsy truck.

While this is pure speculation, I can explain what happened a few years later to gypsies in Germany, if anyone wants to hear this...it isn't pretty.

Let's just say that the Jews weren't the only scapegoats the Nazis used another decade later in Germany and all other conquered territories. The Gypsies were another prime target (as you could see in the movie) and were also put in concentration camps along with the mentally retarded, homosexuals (I'd be in a concentration camp for that), Jews, political prisoners, common criminals, and traitors. There were some camps, like Westerbork (one of the camps Anne Frank was stationed at in 1944) and Tieresienstadt (the "Paradise Ghetto"), that were simply work camps, housing the prisoners until death. However, there were others like Treblinka and Chelmno that didn't bother with the working ethic whatsoever and simply gassed prisoners upon arrival. Oh, and there were also camps like Auschwitz-Burkenau (in Poland) where some were gassed (usually the children and elderly first), some were put to work, and others were placed inside laboratories for Nazi scientists to experiment with (chemotherapy was actually a Nazi invention)...

Is their a site where I can find the complete Dialogue for all 51 Episodes? So could you help me please?

I hate to report I haven't found an episode scripting site for Full Metal Alchemist; I did, however, find one for Revolutionary Girl Utena.

I know a Sarah Parker, but not a Nicole Parker. I'll say this, too. I'm going to get rather unhappy if this thread goes off topic; the purpose is to ask FMA questions and recieve detailed answers...nothing more. Take the chit-chat elsewhere.

I have one,    well.. you know that Basque Gran was responsible for the start of the chimera-super soldier project in the first place?

Was that of his own accord,  or was it an order from the Fuhrer himself?

And what is the dreaded Iron Blood alchemist's true nature?    is he sadistic, power hungry and just downright cruel,  or is he just 'doing his job' as it were?

( Had a discussion with her girlfriend that actually likes the man as a character, last night; does not know what to think ^^;  ....still doesn't change the fact that I hate Basque though.. )

The Iron Blood Alchemist, may he rest in peace (or pieces, if you prefer), was one of the more enigmatic characters in the series, seeing as we never precisely get a good depiction of his actual personality. In my fan-fictions, I paralleled him with a woman named Serena E. Lohengrin (the Quicksilver Alchemist, holding the rank of Sergeant General; these two tend to avoid each other at all costs, and she's just as no-nonsense as Basque...I'll pull up her biography in a private message for anyone who'd like to take a look at her, possibly one of my better works with characters), and for anyone who read my later series (the Hughes Saga), it becomes apparent that there's more than meets the eye for the actual character.

By no means is Basque Gran the only person who never opens up for the audience; Frank Archer, Greta/Camilla, Seraphy Royce, Loa, Sig Curtis, and a few others throughout the saga do the same thing, whether it's occurring in the TV series, manga, or games (I am still encouraging some of you to go into an actual high-functioning RPG sometime that allows experienced members to play canon characters; you really do get to see more sides of them portrayed in a rational sense). We don't know if the Brigadier General has a spouse or family of any sort; we only see him at work (while, of course, we even get to see the Fuhrer on a day off!) and in uniform. He's not really attached to anything except the military, probably making him a frightening example of an ambitious (yet patriotic) militant in any form of government. He plays the role of disturbing mentor, knowing just how to manipulate anyone and everyone into doing what he feels might not exactly be the right thing to do, but definitely helps him gain more ground.

It's almost safe to say most of his work is disturbingly selfless and for the good of the Amestrian state, just like Emperor Dornkirk in Vision of Escaflowne relates to the people he governs in the Zaibach Empire. Whatever corruption he uses to get his results, keep in mind that they lead (in a very Machiavellian sense) to a list of means that seem almost justifiable when the end result becomes apparent. Whether to say I like or dislike Basque Gran is just about as ambiguous an answer as the man himself; I can't directly answer one way or the other. As a soldier, he's extremely respectable (even if he's not respectful)...but not necessarily charismatic.

*_*  Oh cool!

Hehe, thankies muchly Liana and Skye; it definately does sound a lot like Basque.

It's just that in the manga he apparently managed to stop his Colonel from murdering a lot of innocents back in the Ishbal war.. at least that's what Charlotte told me ( because she reads a lot of the translated ones ^^; ) which does make him a little bit more respectable..  but other than that, we never really find out what he's like in the manga ( do we? )

But in the anime, what the two of you have summed up about him sounds very accurate.

And here's another question on the deconstruction aspect of Alchemy.. this may or may not include Scar's right-arm.

We know that Scar was the one that turned poor Nina into a bloody dog-like splat on the wall of an alley-way.. you know how Ed was trying to bring her back..  well if all parts of the Nina/Alexander chimera had been there ( although being nothing but blood and guts) ..and if Scar hadn't absorbed hers and Alexander's soul.

If Edward had managed to put her all back together..would she of been alive?

This came up in another discussion between me and Charlotte..  Charlotte argued that Nina would of still been alive if Ed had put her back together,   I argued that she wouldn't... since her's and Alexander's souls would of left the body.

I was just wondering which one of us was correct..  and I kind of need it for a certain scene in a fanfiction I'm writing ^^;   but it is basically the same thing.

you were correct ms.kitanna ^^,

because even though you have the philosopher's stone.you might be able to retrieve a body but you can never return a soul which has crossed over beyond the gate.
