Now this is a rather fun topic that me and Skye talked about in PM's a few weeks ago.. but I just wanted to see what other people's opinions of it were.

Now just keep in mind, I want people to stay on-topic with this discussion, okay?

When I suggested that such a thing was possible on another website, it was something that actually shocked some fans.. in fact one such person responded with the words..

" Nina would never be like Tucker"

While another one responded with this.. 

" Nina = so adorable!!! AWWWWWWWW!!! when nina died she went UP!

Tucker = heartless scum bag of hatred!!! when tucker dies he is doing WAY DOWN!"    ( <- as much as everyone's entitled to their own opinion.. this person had the nerve to ask me " now, don't you agree?" afterwards..  I just reponded with ' No I don't' )

The only reason that I seem to think that Nina would of grown up to be like Shou, is because there's small little hints; probably more so in the anime than the manga..and also save for the fact that she looks a lot like a child version of her father too.

Note:  I'm including some piccies, so I apologise if this post ends up being really big ^^;

Example 1 - The ( rather well-drawn) drawing of the transmutation circle.. I know that seems like a silly reason, considering she drew it to help Edward with his wish..

But think about it, since Nina was exposed to alchemy at a young age ( and saw the wonders of it, thanks to Ed) ..it would be possible that she would of thought about taking it up when she got older.. although that's just speculation.. but it wouldn't surprise me if that really did happen, she seemed to be very enthralled by it.

Example 2 - Both Nina and Shou's reactions to seeing Al for the first time, Nina seems extremely curious about her ' Bigger brother' and if you look at Shou for that split second he's looking at Al, he's also curious as well ( and even has a shine in his eyes too)

My personal favourite example..  the dinner scene in episode 7, here they are practically doing the same thing.

And then there's the hug scene between father and daughter that takes place at different times in the manga and anime.

In a way.. the two of them seem to have switched roles and the hug postures have sort of been switched around.

- as the scene shows, in the manga; it's Nina who goes to Shou and wraps her arms around him in a hug.

- While in the anime, Shou's the one that goes to Nina and wraps his arms around her in a hug.

Surely all of those say something about who Nina would of been like when she got older.. even though all we can do is speculate on the topic..  I want to hear what everyone else has to say on the matter.

They DO Seem Alike I Didn't Notice That Before...

My...this really does echo the PM conversation we had together. There's also a few other indications of Nina's behavior I found rather similar to Shou's I'll have to make in a future post. I don't have time tonight; it's been rough over here!

i barely had sleep for the past two days 'cause the only time i can get some decent,peaceful time on the net is when everybody in the household is sleeping and i was required to wake up early for the past two days!!! uuurgghh!!!!

Er actually, its "arigato" Ice-Chan it uses hiragana to be spelled out with are symbols that pretty much use 2 letters of romanji (the english characters), with the exception of a, o and n

so if you were to break it up into the sounds per symbol it would be:

a ri ga to

"a" being the only one letter symbol, and there's no "u" symbol in hiragana. :)

This compeltes todays japense langauge. ::takes off instructor hat::

i don't mean to be rude Hawkeye-san..but the spelling of arigato is sometimes spelled as arigatou,with the -u, depending on who translated it..i've read a a few books which spelled it that way. 

I learned it in college :)

AHA I found where you got the "u" from after doing a bit of research. you're using a specific regional dilect! With the "u" is a way they used to say it on Osaka. So perhaps you saw it used on characters in order to portray an accent :)
